Today,
USY Israel is responsible for facilitating various youth programs including:
USY Pilgrimage, Nativ, Neshama, and various Jewish Day School trips
to Israel. Below
is an article about the Nativ Alumni Hanukkah Celebration at the United
Synagogue Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center.
David Keren greeted the alumni and informed them about forthcoming alumni events this year. The plan is to have 4 annual events: Two in Israel during Thanksgiving and winter break and two in North America during USY International Convention and Koach Kallah.
The alumni encouraged us to continue and develop more programs and reunions, to develop a network of job opportunities and they have offered their assistance to strengthen the alumni network.
Rabbi Paul Freedman lit the Fifth Hanukkah candle and gave a Dvar Torah. This successful event ended with a performance by a stand-up comedian.
