Listen to Rabbi Romm as he describes education at the United Synagogue Fuchsberg Center Our continuing education program offers classes in English, Russian and Hebrew. Continuing education classes meet throughout the week offering a variety of themes including Archaeology, Bible, Talmud, Torah Portion of the Week, Philosophy, History and more. The Monday Evening Forum presents a different prominent speaker each week covering Jewish art, Politics, Literature, and a variety of Jewish & Israeli cultural topics. Our "Hebrew For Hebrew Speakers" class serves the needs of those who made Aliyah, speak a basic Israeli Hebrew but need practice in speaking the language and building up vocabulary. Are you coming to Jerusalem for a short visit or for an extended stay? Our Continuing Education program, Project Oded and the Monday Evening Forum is for you! Our current list of classes may be found on the Fuchsberg web site.
The Monday Evening Forum and Moreshet Yisrael Synagogue co-sponsored a Hanukkah Cantorial Concert featuring cantorial students from JTS (who are studying this year at the Conservative Yeshiva) and cantorial students from HUC. The concert was dedicated to the works of Hazzan Gerson Ephros z"l. Gershon Ephros' son, Abe z"l and daughter in law, Betty were long time members of Moreshet Yisrael Synagogue.
