The Arba Kanfot Center on Campus
program
August-September marks the ulpan season for overseas students studying in Israel. Our campus program is up to the challenge by offering quality enrichment programs. A three part Lunch and Learn series meets on the Mt. Scopus campus of the Hebrew Universityand covers a range of themes from Jewish crafts to theology. Home hospitality takes place as well as informal religious advising to help new students adjust to their new home. A Pre High Holydays Shabbaton is taking place Kibbutz Hannaton, the Conservative/Masorti kibbutz in the Galil. On the schedule is a visit to the Druz community of Dalyat Al Carmel for a cross cultural experience. Plans are under way to insure that students who wants to be placed with a Conservative/Masorti synagogue and family for the High Holidays will find their way and be connected with one of our Congregations. Our Learning Community Hevruta which takes place during the fall and spring semesters after the "ulpan season" matches up undergraduate overseas students with JTS and Ziegler rabbinical students and Conservative Yeshiva students for hevruta study every Wednesday evening at Beit Hillel at the Hebrew University. If you know of students, spending the year or semester in Israel, be sure to let Rabbi Romm know.
Our students enjoy the swimming pool at Kibbutz Hannaton
